Alzheimer’s Association sets caregiver meeting
The Alzheimer’s Association is holding a caregiver support group meeting from 4:30 to 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, in the James River Senior Center, 419 5th St. NE.
A trained facility will conduct the group, which provides a safe place for caregivers, family and friends of people with dementia to develop a support system within the community, exchange practical information caregiving challenges and possible solutions with people going through the same types of issues, talking through issues and discuss ways of coping, sharing feelings, needs and concerns in a private and safe place and learning about community resources.
There is no charge for this meeting. Enter through the west doors of the senior center.
