Few comments on proposal of auditor
MANDAN, N.D. (AP) -- Morton County officials got few comments at a public hearing over whether to appoint the county auditor.
The current auditor, Paul Trauger, said he plans to resign after 30 years on the job when his term expires in 2010.
Commissioners want to decide by fall whether to make the job an appointed one instead of an elected one. Tuesday's hearing brought little reaction. Two other public hearings are scheduled.
