Tax commissioner seeking new term
BISMARCK (AP) -- North Dakota Tax Commissioner Cory Fong is seeking another term.
The Republican on Thursday was kicking off his re-election campaign with stops in Bismarck and West Fargo.
No Democrat has announced plans to seek that party's endorsement to challenge Fong.
Fong was appointed tax commissioner by Gov. John Hoeven in 2005. He was elected to his first four-year term the following year, edging Democrat Brent Edison 53 percent to 47 percent.
