High-risk offender in Jamestown
A high-risk sex offender is living in Jamestown, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Police said Michael Philip Kruk, 23, lives at 2308 Circle Drive. He is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, weighs 250 pounds and has brown eyes and red hair.
Kruk has been assigned a high-risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee through the North Dakota Attorney General's Office.
He was convicted of gross sexual imposition on May 11, 2005, in Bottineau County Juvenile Court. Authorities said that while Kruk was in a treatment center for an offense in McHenry County, he forced a 10-year-old boy he was babysitting to engage in sex with him. He also had sexual contact with a 13-year-old at the treatment center. He was sentenced to one year in the Division of Juveniles Services.
He was convicted of gross sexual imposition on May 12, 2003, in McHenry County Juvenile Court. Authorities said he had sexual contact with two boys, ages 6 and 4, he had been babysitting. He was sentenced to two years in the DJS. He did not progress in treatment and was sent to a residential treatment center.
Kruk will be placed on GPS monitoring.
Kruk is not wanted by police at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. The notification is intended for public safety and not to increase fear in the community. The information should also not be used to threaten, assault or intimidate Kruk. Attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten Kruk or his family, landlord or employer will be turned over for prosecution.
