Afternoon crash injures two
Two people were injured in a collision at 2:54 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 94 seven miles east of Jamestown, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
Brittany Beeter, 22, of Minot, was driving a 2006 Honda Civic west on Interstate 94 near mile marker 265. Scott Mayer, 31, whose address was not released by the Highway Patrol, was driving a 1991 Buick Sedan in front of Beeter.
According to the Highway Patrol, Beeter was moving to the left lane to pass Mayer, but struck Mayer's Buick. The Buick ran off the road and entered the north ditch, while Beeter's Civic went across the median, crossed the eastbound lanes of I-94 and entered the south ditch.
Beeter's airbag deployed during the crash. She was not wearing a seatbelt. Mayer was wearing a seatbelt.
Beeter and Mayer were both transported to Jamestown Regional Medical Center by Jamestown Ambulance for treatment of their injuries.
The Stutsman County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
