Blood drive set for May 28-29
Trinity Lutheran Church will hold a two-day blood drive May 28-29. The drive will be from noon to 6 p.m. May 28 and from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. May 29. The church is located at 523 4th Ave. SE.
United Blood Services said blood can only be stored for 42 days, so it’s critical that people volunteer. Blood can only come from volunteer blood donors and the blood bank is low. The need for blood also increases during the summer.
To make an appointment, call Donna Gullickson, 252-1136, or call UBS for more information at (800) 917-4929. To save time, donors can now fill out their health history questionnaire online at www.unit edbloodservices.org on the day of their donation. To donate blood, volunteers must be at least 16 years old (16-year-old donors need a minor donor permit which is available online) and be in good health.
