Judge: Evidence in pot bust inadmissible

Motorcyclist struck, killed in Minnesota

McGREGOR, Minn. – A motorcyclist was killed Monday when he was run over by a Chevrolet Silverado in northern Minnesota.

The Minnesota State Patrol reported the Silverado was northbound on Highway 65 north of McGregor in Aitkin County just before 4:30 p.m., when the motorcycle was pulling out of Ukura’s Big Dollar Store access. The motorcycle was stopped waiting to turn right, when the Silverado turned left into the same access. The state patrol reported the Kawasaki road bike tipped over and the Silverado ran the motorcycle and driver over.

The man who was killed is Jeffrey L. Merz, 68, Palisade. The driver of the truck, Allan W. Lehtinen, 73, McGregor, had no apparent injuries.
