Sobriety checkpoint set for McKenzie County
WILLISTON, N.D. -- The North Dakota Highway Patrol has planned a sobriety checkpoint in McKenzie County for Friday, Sept. 1.
Troopers are partnering with the Watford City police and the McKenzie County Sheriff’s Office, a news release said. Troopers will saturate the roads after the checkpoint to remove impaired drivers.
Approximately half of all fatal crashes each year are alcohol-related, the highway patrol said.
