Kansas man injured in rollover crash

A Kansas man was injured Tuesday in a McKenzie County rollover crash, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 10:15 a.m., when a southbound 2017 Drillmec Workover Rig on N.D. Highway 68 about 10 miles south of Alexander, N.D., entered the ditch, returned to the roadway and flipped onto its side, blocking both lanes, the patrol said.

The driver, Pablo Polvon, 55, of Liberal, Kansas, was transported by Alexander Ambulance Service for treatment of minor injuries to McKenzie County Healthcare System in Watford City, N.D.

Polvon was wearing a seat belt. He was charged with care required, the patrol said.

Highway 68 was closed for approximately 4 hours for investigation and recovery efforts, the patrol said. Traffic was detoured around the accident via country roads.

The U.S. Border Patrol and the McKenzie County Sheriff's Office assisted in the road closure and traffic control. Alexander Fire Department also responded to the scene.
