Mayville woman injured in crash
A Mayville, N.D., woman was injured in a crash with a semi truck on Wednesday in Traill County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 10:45 a.m., when a 2005 Mazda Tribute traveling east on U.S. Highway 200 crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2007 Kenworth Tractor Trailer about 3 miles east of Mayville, the patrol said.
The Mazda driver, Megan Bauer, 37, was transported by West Traill Ambulance Service to Sanford Mayville Clinic for treatment of injuries. She was transferred to Sanford Health in Fargo where she is reported to be in stable condition as of 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, the patrol said.
It is not known if Bauer was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, the patrol said.
The Kenworth driver, Adam Otterstetter, 41, Maddock, N.D., was not injured in the crash, the patrol said. He was wearing a seat belt.
The crash is still under investigation by the patrol.
Traill County Sheriff's Office, Mayville Fire Department and HIllsboro EMS also responded to the scene.
