Parks and Rec approves contract
The Jamestown Parks and Recreation Commission approved a contract 3-1 Monday with Pepsi Cola of Jamestown to provide beverages for Jamestown Parks and Recreation Department’s vending machines and concessions.
Pepsi Cola of Jamestown will pay $15,000 a year for five years and 22 percent of vending machine sales, minus sales tax.
Coca Cola High Country submitted a five-year bid that paid $12,000 a year and 20 percent of vending machine sales, minus sales tax.
A motion by Commissioner Ron Olson to approve the bid from High Country died due to lack of a second.
(This story was corrected as Pepsi will pay 22 percent of vending machine sales, not 20 percent)
