Jamestown man stabbed, treated and back home
Two Jamestown men are in custody after their involvement in an altercation outside an apartment building Thursday resulted in a third Jamestown man being stabbed, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
Detective Sgt. Leroy Gross said Friday the victim, 36, was airlifted to a hospital in Fargo from Jamestown Regional Medical Center for treatment of a stab wound received from the altercation. The police were called to the JRMC at 4:19 p.m. Thursday after the man took himself to the center for treatment of his wound.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital in Fargo and back in Jamestown on Friday, according to Gross.
Gross said two men, ages 35 and 26, are in custody after being interviewed about the incident. The names of all three men have not been released as charges have not been filed as yet, he said.
“This whole thing happened in less than 30 seconds,” he said.
Gross said there were several witnesses to the incident and they were interviewed.
