One sentenced on felony charge here
One person was sentenced recently on felony charges in Southeast District Court in Jamestown.
Bauer was accused of taking items from a retail store with an aggregate value of more than $1,000 between June 1, 2013, and July 3, 2013, and directing others to return the items or to pawn the items during the same period.
She was also accused of taking property valued at more than $1,000 from a retailer around Oct. 11.
Judge Thomas E. Merrick sentenced Bauer to 12 months in the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for the theft of property felony charge, 30 months in prison on the dealing in stolen property charge and 12 months in prison on the theft of property misdemeanor charge, to be served concurrently. She will be placed on five years of supervised probation when she completes her prison term.
She was ordered to pay $2,897 restitution, a $650 criminal administration fee, $100 defense/facility administration fee, $70 indigent defense application fee and $25 victim-witness fee.
A Class B felony is punishable by 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine. A Class C felony is punishable by five years in prison and a $10,000 fine. A Class A misdemeanor is punishable by one year in prison and a $3,000 fine.
