Two-car crash results in damage

A two-vehicle accident at 6:45 p.m. Saturday resulted in more than $6,500 in damage, but no injuries, according to the Jamestown Police Department.

Yi Chen, 51, Jamestown, was driving a 2006 Toyota west on 9th Street Southeast.

A 2005 Chevrolet was parked in the 800 block of 6th Avenue Southeast.

According to the police report, Chen went to make a right turn onto 6th Avenue Southeast, the Toyota he was driving slid on some ice and struck the parked vehicle.

Chen was wearing his seat belt.

Damage was estimated at $5,000 for the Toyota and $1,500 for the Chevrolet.

Chen was cited for care required in operating a vehicle.
