No injury recorded in accident

A one-vehicle crash at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday resulted in more than $8,000 in damage, according to the Jamestown Police Department,

Howard McGillivray, 67, Jamestown was driving a 2000 Chevrolet at the intersection of 20th Street Southwest and U.S. Highway 281 South.

According to the police report, McGillivray was stopped on 20th Street Southwest at a stop light. As the light turned green McGillivray went to make a left turn onto 281 South, accelerated through the intersection and struck a light pole.

Damage was estimated at $8,000 to the Chevrolet. McGillivray was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

McGillivray was cited for care required when driving.
