WILD Conference set for Sept. 17-18

Women are encouraged to sign up now for the WILD (Women in Leadership Development) Conference set for Sept. 17-18 at the North Dakota Farmers Union Conference Center in Jamestown, as space is limited.

“The excitement continues to build with our celebrity speakers, room and personal makeover reveals, vendors, and a great slate of sponsors who are involved at various support levels,” said Chelsey Thronson, NDFU conference leader. “Women need to sign up now because space is limited to just 300.”

Nationally-known celebrities Taniya Nayak and Julie Powell are headlining the event. Nayak is the host of HGTV’s “House Hunters on Vacation” and is the featured designer on Food Network’s “Restaurant Impossible.” Powell authored the bestselling book, “Julie & Julia,” which chronicles her experience of cooking all 524 recipes of Julia Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking in a year. A movie based upon her book earned actress Meryl Streep an Oscar nomination.

“This will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for many of us to interact with these women,” Thronson said, “and learn from them about ‘flips’ they’ve made in their lives that were positive … flips that all women can do.”

The theme of the conference is “It’s a Flippin’ Good Life.” The cost is $99 per person (includes pre-conference party, conference fee, snacks and lunch). The fee is nonrefundable. To register, go to
