Alcohol saturation Friday and Saturday

The North Dakota Highway Patrol - Southeast Region will conduct an alcohol saturation Friday and Saturday in Ransom, Sargent, LaMoure and Dickey counties.

The purpose for the saturation is to deter and detect impaired drivers and prevent crashes.

Approximately 40 percent of all North Dakota traffic fatality victims in 2016 were alcohol-related crashes, the patrol said. The number increases to 50 percent in the Southeast Region, which includes Cass, Richland, Ransom, Sargent, Griggs, Barnes, LaMoure, Dicky, Foster, Stutsman, Logan and McIntosh counties.
