One injured in Carrington accident

One person was injured in a crash Sunday in Foster County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 7:20 p.m. about 2 miles west of Carrington on U.S. Highway 52.

Frances Gasper, 56, Carrington, was traveling eastbound on Highway 52 when the hood of the 1994 Dodge Caravan unhooked and blew open, the patrol said. Gasper slowed the vehicle and turned right and was struck by a 2008 Kenworth semitrailer driven by Aron Sorokin, 65, Saint-Laurent, Quebec.

Both vehicles entered the ditch.
