Special to The Sun

Employees of several local businesses recently attend a daylong business training class in Microsoft Excel, which was provided by TrainND in partnership with the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce and the Jamestown/Stutsman Development Corp. Those who participated included Catherine Larson and Deborah Schafer from Quality Service and Repair, Christina Kuntz from First Community Credit Union, Nancy Hardy from the City of Jamestown and Laurie Erickson from the Chamber.

Trainer Ed Cronin, adjunct professor, provided an in-depth, handson opportunity for the attendees to learn about this software program and to address some of their questions about how to best utilize the program. A comprehensive manual and ability to actually work on the computer the entire day was a component of the training. Follow-up questions from participants will be addressed as needed by the trainer. The partners are providing additional business training in various software.
