S.D. Man sentenced to seven years for conspiracy to distrube drugs

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.—A Sioux Falls man will spend more than seven years in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and marijuana in the city in 2014.

Fred Earl Davis Jr., 53, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Karen Schreier on Monday after he pled guilty last August.

During a traffic stop, Davis was found to be in possession of approximately 87 grams of meth, 29 grams of cocaine, 33 pounds of marijuana and more than $3,000 cash. Then, in a search of his home, officers found another three pounds of marijuana, 4 pounds of marijuana edibles, 11 firearms, more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition and more than $6,500 in cash.
