Fargo adds e-cigs to tobacco ordinance

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — City leaders in Fargo have decided to include electronic cigarettes in the city's tobacco ordinance.

WDAY reports  that the decision means it will be illegal to give or sell e-cigarettes to minors.

E-cigarettes are battery-powered devices that heat a liquid nicotine solution and create a water vapor that users inhale. Manufacturers say the mist is harmless and regular smokers who switch to e-cigarettes lower their health risk.

North Dakota state law prohibits smoking in any public places, which includes e-cigarettes.
