Autism department holding logo contest

The North Dakota Department of Human Services’ Autism Services Program invites people with autism and their family members to design a logo for the state’s first North Dakota State Autism Spectrum Disorders Conference scheduled Oct. 20-22 in Bismarck.

Entries must be postmarked by July 4 and should reflect the conference theme, “Getting Started” and should depict how autism impacts lives. Organizers will accept entries created in any art medium and will adapt entries to a digitized image to fit the conference needs. Contest details are online at ence-contest.pdf.

Submit entries to Special Education Coordinator — Lynn Dodge, Ed.D, 600 E. Boulevard Ave., Dept. 201, Bismarck, ND 58505. Individuals with questions should contact conference coordinator Lisa McNamara at 701-231-5376.

People will be able to view entries and vote online to select the contest winner July 15-31 at autismconfcontest. The winner will be announced Aug. 15.

The winning artist will be able to choose one prize from a selection that includes Target and Walmart gift cards and tickets to zoos, fairs or other events and venues around the state.
