Two injured in rollover southwest of Lisbon, N.D.
Two juveniles were injured Saturday in a rollover 5 miles southwest of Lisbon, N.D., according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The rollover occurred at about 3:30 p.m., according to the NDHP.
The driver, a 17-year-old male from Sheldon, N.D., was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier eastbound on a gravel road on 71st Street Southeast, according to the NDHP. The driver lost control of the vehicle, entered the south ditch, went through a fence and overturned the car in a ravine.
A 16-year-old female passenger was ejected from the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver was wearing a seatbelt.
Both occupants were transported by First Medic Ambulance of Lisbon to Lisbon Area Health Services in Lisbon. The passenger was later airlifted to a Fargo hospital.
The Ransom County Sheriff’s Office, Lisbon Police Department and Lisbon Fire Department also assisted with the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
