Two men killed in traffic fatality near Mandaree, N.D.
Two men were killed in a cow-car crash Friday night near Mandaree, N.D., according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
A 27-year-old Mountain Home, Idaho, man was driving a 1993 Honda Civic east on BIA Road 12, about 12 miles east of Mandaree. A 19-year-old St. George, Utah, man was a passenger in the car. The car struck a black cow in the road. The car went into the north ditch, rolled over many times and came to rest on its wheels.
The driver was not wearing his seat belt, while the passenger was wearing his seat belt. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
The two men’s names will be released upon notification of the next of kin.
The Dunn County Sheriff’s Office, New Town Ambulance/McKenzie County Ambulance, TAT Police Department and Mandaree Volunteer Fire Department along with the NDHP responded to the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the NDHP.
