Tuesday 2 by 2 winning ticket sold in Medina

Valentine’s Day was extra special for one regional lottery player, according to Ryan Koppy, sales and marketing manager for the North Dakota State Lottery.

A player purchasing tickets at the Medina General Store won $44,000 in the drawing Feb. 14. The player has claimed the prize and wished to remain anonymous, Koppy said.

The player had selected the right number for the 2 by 2 game. The prize for the game is normally $22,000 but the player was part of Tuesday Doubler.

The winning numbers were Red: 7-24, White: 11-26.

Koppy said the 2 by 2 jackpot has been claimed 372 times in North Dakota since the game began in February 2006. Eight of those jackpots included the Tuesday Doubler.
