Dakotas back in the deep freeze; warmup expected

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) -- Icy arctic air and wind is blanketing the Dakotas again, but the National Weather Service says warmer weather is just days away.

Wind chill warnings and advisories were posted for all of North Dakota and for much of South Dakota early Tuesday, with actual temperatures dropping into the minus-20s in some areas and the wind making it feel twice that cold in some spots.

The Weather Service forecast calls for much balmier weather later in the workweek, with high temperatures this coming weekend reaching into the 30s and 40s -- and even into the lower 50s in parts of South Dakota.
