The city of Jamestown snow removal program will start at 5 a.m. Tuesday, according to Sarah Hellekson city administrator for Jamestown.
The snow removal schedule is contingent upon changing weather conditions and snow accumulation totals, she said. The high moisture content of the heavy snowfall will require the removal of snow gates on the city’s four motor graders and will not allow for suspended plowing near driveways.
Snow removal in the residential areas will start at approximately 11 a.m. Tuesday, Hellekson said. City crews will start snow removal downtown at approximately at 11 p.m. Tuesday, and continue during the night, she said. Downtown sidewalks should be shoveled by 9 p.m. Tuesday.
