Man suspected of trying to run over Bismarck police officer found in South Dakota

Airport parking lot work may happen next year

The Jamestown Regional Airport parking lot could be expanded as early as next year, put it would start as gravel with paving to come later.

The Jamestown Regional Airport Authority authorized Steve Aldinger, an engineer with Interstate Engineering, to bring back a cost estimate for creating an additional 157 parking spaces and agreements to create the engineered drawings and specifications for the parking lot addition.

Aldinger said the Airport Authority should have the addition designed like a new parking lot, including improved drainage, but use gravel instead of pavement to finish it off. That way the airport will get the additional parking spaces it needs right away, and can eventually have the addition paved when funds become available.
