05/15/2008 12:00 AM Harry F. Triepke, 81, Bemidji, Minn., died Tuesday, May 13, 2008, at Havenwood Care Center, Bemidji.
Mr. Triepke was born March 5, 1927, near Millarton, N.D., the son of Henry and Alma Triepke. He grew up and attended school in Nortonville, N.D. He worked for Midland Continental Railroad during the summers while still in high school.

Pauline Hirth was born Aug. 22, 1926, at Edgeley, N.D., the daughter of William and Matilda (Rohde) Hirth. She grew up at Edgeley and graduated from Edgeley High School in 1946.

Mr. Guthmiller was born May 31, 1946, in Woodworth, N.D., the son of Rudolph and Freida (Schmidt) Guthmiller. He grew up and attended Peters-ville Township, N.D., Country School and Pettibone (N.D.) Public school.

05/14/2008 12:00 AM Nuala O’Faolain — a journalist and feminist who gained international fame with her outspoken 1996 memoir “Are You Somebody?” — has died. She was 68.
O’Faolain died Friday of lung cancer at a hospice in south Dublin, her family said.

05/14/2008 12:00 AM John E. Randall Sr., 80, Robinson, N.D., died Sunday, May 11, 2008, at St. Aloisius Hospital, Harvey, N.D.
Mr. Randall was born May 18, 1927, in South Merkel Township, near Robinson, the son of Edgar and Annie (Farrington) Randall. He married Betty Wolfe on Nov. 24, 1948, in Goodrich, N.D. They moved to the former Herman Legler farm in 1960.

Mr. Meikle was born Dec. 4, 1972, in Valley City, N.D., the son of Bruce and Margaret (Windham) Meikle. He grew up in Wimbledon and graduated from Wimbledon-Courtenay School in 1991.
