Bravo to UJ for honoring Badal
The Jamestown Sun hands out these bravos this week:
*Bravo to the “Bingo Bunch” at Golden Manor, which was honored with the North Dakota Long Term Care Association Group Volunteer of the Year award. The group has been volunteering at the Golden Manor in Steele for years, providing events for residents at the facility. And bravo to Stephanie Nannenga, CNA at Ave Maria Village in Jamestown, and Gayle Scherbenske, office assistant at Eventide Jamestown, who each received 2018 Caregiver Awards from the same organization.
*Bravo to the University of Jamestown for honoring Dr. Robert Badal by renaming a campus building in his honor. The Nafus Center was renamed the Badal Nafus Center on May 10. Badal was president of the university for 16 years until retiring in February.
*Bravo to the volunteers who mentor people on business issues through SCORE. Ten mentors in Jamestown help assist clients with business-related issues.
