The Jamestown Sun hands out these bravos this week:
*Bravo to the late Ernie Hubacker, 102, of Jamestown, who died July 13. Hubacker volunteered at Jamestown Regional Medical Center in his later years for 15 years and was a longtime veteran.
*Bravo to those Jamestown residents who opened up their yards for the public to tour this week. The annual AAUW Garden Tour featured the gardens of Mike and Colleen Dronen, Gary and Cathy Carlson, Shaun and Deanna Fischer and Jon and Connie Lillejord.
*Bravo to the Dakota Anglers of Jamestown, which was inducted into the North Dakota Fishing Hall of Fame on July 19.
*Bravo to Faith Evangelical Church in Crystal Springs, N.D, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this weekend.
*Bravo to North Dakota setting three records in production of oil and natural gas in May, according to the North Dakota Department of Mineral Resources. Oil production reached 1.24 million barrels a day, the most since 2014. Natural gas production reached about 2.32 billion cubic feet per day with 14,755 producing wells. Gas production also was more than 70 billion cubic feet for May, the first time in state history for a month.
