Jimmie Roundup: Volleyball sweeps Presentation
Haley Glasoe and the 19th-ranked University of Jamestown volleyball team were a handful Tuesday night in Aberdeen.
The senior middle blocker posted 10 kills and a hitting percentage of .714, helping the Jimmies hit .328 as a team in a 3-0 sweep of Presentation College. Set scores for the match were 25-11, 25-19, 25-17.
Morgan Hensch posted 15 kills for Jamestown, which improved to 16-7 overall and 9-2 in North Star Athletic Association conference play. Whitney King added 28 assists and Elise Peterson turned up 20 digs in the winning effort.
The Jimmies are at 23rd-ranked Bellevue University (24-8, 10-3 NSAA) on Friday and Dakota State University (10-20, 3-7 NSAA) on Saturday.

Young top NSAA runner
University of Jamestown's Matthew Young was selected as the North Star Athletic Association's men's cross country runner of the week.
Young, a junior from Woodland, Wash., was the first college runner to cross the finish line in the Mount Marty (S.D.) Invitational. As the top NAIA runner in the men's 8K race that featured a total of 104 runners, Young posted a of 26 minutes, 9 seconds.
The NSAA Cross County Conference Championships are set for Nov. 3 at Parkhurst Cross Country Course north of Jamestown.
