Jamestown High School's Meghan Ford earned all-state honors Saturday in Valley City.
The freshman finished seventh of 172 runners at the Class A girls cross country meet held at Bjornson Park Public Golf Course. Ford's time of 18:39 led the Blue Jays to a 15th-place team finish (380) out of 18 teams.
Grand Forks Central and Fargo Davies each scored 88 points, but Davies got a repeat state championship on a tiebreaker. The Eagles' No. 6 runner finished higher than Central's No. 6.
Mandan's Kelby Rinas was individual winner with a time of 18:15.
Jamestown freshman Chandlar Rott (17:24) led the Blue Jays in the A boys state race, placing 56th out of 175 runners. Jamestown (516) finished 16th out of 19 teams.
Bismarck Century won the A boys title with 60 points, edging Williston by four points. Class A senior athlete of the year Evan Sayler of Century won the individual title.
Hillsboro-Central Valley's defending state champion Reagan Baesler (18:27.5) won the Class B girls race for a second year. The sophomore led Hillsboro-Central Valley (96) to its seventh consecutive state championship.
Griggs County Central's Mikayla Koenig (19:22) crossed in sixth, Carrington's Amanda Jarrett (19:55) finished 12th and LaMoure-Litchville-Marion's Jakkia Duffy placed 17th.
New Town repeated as the Class B boys champion. Jaiven Hale (16:03) and Robert White (16:19) of New Town placed 1-2, respectively.
Edgeley-Kulm's Isaac Huber (16:23) placed third and Carrington's Payton Smith (17:02) finished 10th.

Langdon defeated the defending Class A football champions Saturday in the state quarterfinals.
The Cardinals topped Ellendale-Edgeley-Kulm 35-14. Carrington's season also came to an end in the quarterfinals Saturday, falling at Hillsboro-Central Valley 27-7.

JHS swimmers state qualify
Members of the Blue Jay girls swimming and diving team qualified for the state meet Saturday at the Fargo Davies JV meet.
New state qualifiers were Jordyn Mewes (100 free) and Callie Lynch (50 free). Swimmers qualifying for state in new events included Tyler Alonge (100 free), Chea Baugh (100 back) and Courtnay Kiecker (100 back).
