New Rockford school project approved

14U softball ups mark to 4-0

The Jamestown 14U softball team defeated Moorhead 11-3 and 17-0 in Casselton on Monday.

In the opener, Hannah Schiele had two hits and Olivia Nihill scored three runs in the 11-3 win. Courtney Peterson, Molly Fritz and Lexi Paul added hits. Mariah Wick scored twice, while Peterson, Sydney Soulis, Amber Buckness, Halle Uehran, Kelsey Goter and Paul once.

Nihill was the winning pitcher.

Jamestown improved to 4-0 on the season with the 17-0 win in Game 2 as Uehran tripled and had two hits. Schiele and Wick also added two knocks. Buckness and Soulis also tripled. Goter and Wick scored three times apiece. Uehran, Schiele and Nihill scored twice.

Nihill was the winning pitcher, allowing just two hits as Jamestown played five errorless innings.

Up next is a road doubleheader at Fargo South on Monday.
