Jamestown 12U wins four games

The Jamestown 12U softball team swept a double-header in Casselton on Tuesday.

Jamestown won the first game 15-6 behind the strong pitching of Rachel Woodley. Woodley had three strikeouts in two innings before turning the circle over to Hailey Fletcher.

McKenzie Paul led the way offensively going 2-for-2 with two runs scored. Woodley and Alex Nihill each went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.

In the nightcap, Jamestown beat Casselton 12-11. Nihill struck out five in two strong innings of relief for the win. Millisa Kukowski led the way going 2-for-2 and scoring two runs.

On Wednesday, Jamestown 12U hosted Devils Lake for a double-header. Jamestown beat Devils Lake in the first game 15-3 with Woodley picking up the win.

Nihill went 3-for-3 scoring three runs to lead the offensive charge. Fletcher went 2-for-2 and scored a pair.

Nihill pitched in relief to get the 16-12 win in the nightcap. Paul and Fletcher scored three runs each for Jamestown.
