Amateur baseball, racing rained out in Jamestown

Rain has washed out the Class AA state amateur baseball tournament and racing on Saturday in Jamestown.

One baseball game was completed on Saturday at Jack Brown Stadium as the Cass County Catfish defeated the Beulah-Hazen Blackjaws 8-0.

The baseball tournament will resume on Sunday at 9 a.m. with Tolna playing the Valley City Saints. The remaining schedule will be determined after the first game on Sunday.

Races at Jamestown Speedway also have been rained out for the second consecutive week.
