Jimmie Holiday Classic Friday

University of Jamestown men's basketball is hosting its first annual high school boys Holiday Classic this Friday at Harold Newman Arena.

The evening of boys basketball is featuring a top 10 showdown in North Dakota Class B hoops. Second-ranked Beulah (1-0) will play 10th-ranked Fargo Oak Grove (1-0) at 7:45 p.m.

Park Christian (Minn.) will play Solen (3-0) at 6:15. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

Area teams moving up poll

Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier girls basketball continues its trend up the Class B girls basketball media poll.

The Rebels (7-0) moved from sixth to fourth this week, staying just in front of LaMoure-Litchville-Marion (6-0), who moved from seventh to fifth. Medina-Pingree-Buchanan (6-1) is up two spots from eighth to sixth, while Carrington (5-1) moved from ninth to eighth.
