Area Basketball: Jimmies sweep in Neb.

Jimmie basketball sweeps

University of Jamestown senior guard Bryn Woodside scored 18 points Saturday in Bellevue, Neb., surpassing 1,000 career points in the process.

The effort helped the sixth-ranked Jimmie women's basketball team defeat Bellevue University 70-39.

Jimmie men's basketball defeated Bellevue 88-85. Junior guard Kevin Oberweiser made 7 of 10 3-point attempts and finished with a career-high 29 points, helping the Jimmies rally back from a 15-point deficit in the first half.

Jimmie basketball hosts Presentation College on Saturday.
