Wagner signs with VCSU

Jamestown High School senior Marc Wagner has signed to play football at Valley City State.

Wagner was a two-year starter at tight end after transferring from Killdeer. He played every game for the Blue Jays over the course of his junior and senior seasons, helping turn the program around with a six-win season. He also starts on the basketball team.

The 6-4, 210-pounder is the son of former longtime Killdeer football coach Chuck and his wife, Peg.

Valley City State also signed 5-8, 185-pound fullback Dustin Lindgren, who was a standout at Valley City High. Other area signings include Tanner Kessel of Steele, a 5-10, 230-pound linebacker.
