Blue Jays take road sweep of Williston

The Blue Jays earned a road sweep on Friday night in Williston.

The boys earned one of their best road wins of the season in the opening game of the night, beating the Coyotes 60-53. When the two teams played in Jamestown Jan. 11, Williston won by 31 points (80-49).

No other information was provided.

The Blue Jays improved to 4-8 in the West Region and 5-10 overall.

Williston fell to 3-9 in the conference and 3-12 overall.

In the girls game, the Blue Jays trailed 6-3 early, but gained control with a 13-4 run and went on for a 51-34 victory.

Three Jamestown players scored in double figures with Paige Peterson’s 14-point game leading the way. McKayla Orr and Addie Eamon added 10 points each.

The Blue Jays upped their West Region record to 7-5 and climbed over .500 at 8-7 overall.

The Coyotes, led by Emily Lysne’s 14 points, are 1-10 in the West and 2-12 overall.

The Blue Jays cap the weekend road trip today in Dickinson against the Midgets.
