Jimmie women add three recruits

Izzy Tweed, Courtney Mitchell and Katie Sickmann have signed with the Jimmie women’s basketball team.

Tweed, a native of Palmer, Alaska, averaged 8.8 points for Colony High School. Both of her parents are from North Dakota.

“Izzy is a proven sharp-shooter from behind the arc and is ready to take the rest of her game to an entire new level,” UJ head coach Greg Ulland said. “Her competitiveness will help us from day one.”

She is the daughter of Steven and Beth Tweed.

Mitchell, from Beulah, North Dakota, averaged 12 points, five rebounds and four assists last season.

“We are excited about Courtney’s decision to become a Jimmie and join our basketball family,” Ulland said. “She is a good competitor and a great fit with our personalities and style of play.”

She is the daughter of Roy and Debbie Mitchell.

Sickmann comes to Jamestown from Prior Lake, Minnesota.

“We are excited to have Katie coming into our program,” Ulland said. “She’s a great kid with experience, plays hard, and she’s an outstanding student. We look forward to having her with us the next four years.”
