North Dakota pronghorn, remaining deer tag applications due Aug. 8

BISMARCK — A couple of key deadlines are coming up this week, for hunters in North Dakota.

Wednesday, Aug. 8, is the deadline to apply for pronghorn licenses, the North Dakota Game and Fish Department said Monday. A total of 1,075 licenses are available in 10 open units: 1A, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, 4A, 4C, 5A, 6A and 7A. All licenses are valid for any pronghorn.

Wednesday also is the deadline to apply for remaining deer gun licenses. North Dakota residents who didn't draw a deer tag in the initial gun season lottery can apply for more than 3,000 antlerless licenses that remain in 11 units.

Applications for both seasons are available on the North Dakota Game and Fish Department website at gf.nd.gov or by calling (800) 406-6409. Paper applications are not available.
