Carrington stays unbeaten

Carrington, ranked No. 5 in Class A football, got three touchdowns from Drew Page and a fumble recovery for a score in its 37-14 win over Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn on Friday night.

Page raced in from 60 and 5 yards out in the first quarter as the Cardinals jumped on top.

Leading just 14-6, Cody Schlegel flopped on a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown.

Page rushed for 123 yards on 13 carries. Kaden Wolsky piled up 114 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown. He also buried three PAT kicks.

Hayden Schmitz threw for 133 yards. Page had 64 yards receiving and Trey Rosenau 61.

Jacob Dewald hooked up for touchdown passes of 35 and 74 yards to Lucas Hofer for the Thunder. Clayton Grueneich added a pair of TDs on the ground, while Cole Goehring and Nathan Peterson also scored.

Shay Ness scored in overtime and Alden Brown buried the PAT to lift LaMoure-Litchville-Marion to a 29-28 overtime win over South Border.

Ness ran for 158 yards and three scores, including a 68-yarder. Brown also added a short TD run.

Payton Hulm piled up 108 yards and two rushing scores for the Mustangs.
