Vikings CB Cook ejected for contact with official

A long day at the office for Minnesota Vikings cornerback Chris Cook came to an abrupt end in the third quarter on Sunday.

Cook, who was the primary cover man following Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, made contact with a game official protesting a highlight-reel touchdown catch by Jeffery.

Jeffery, who had nine receptions for 215 yards and two touchdowns at that point in the game, set a franchise record with 218 receiving yards against the New Orleans Saints earlier in the season.

With 5:15 remaining in the third quarter, Josh McCown hit Jeffery to push the Bears lead to 20-10. Jeffery caught the ball at its highest point and was able to drag his feet before his momentum carried him out of bounds with Cook.
