A crowd of nearly 100 people participates in the Patriot Day observance Tuesday at Zonta Park in Jamestown. Trooper Tom Herzig of the North Dakota Highway Patrol, talked about what it was like to be on duty the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, and Jaymee George performed the national anthem on the clarinet. The group then took part in the “Freedom Walk” to the All Vets Club for a freewill barbecue meal with proceeds going to support Mary’s Place at Safe Shelter in Jamestown.
