MINOT, N.D. — -A suspect is in custody following an incident where shots were in a trailer court in northwest Minot. No major injuries have been reported, however the suspect was transported to Trinity Hospital for care. It is uncertain if wounds were self-inflicted, said Minot public information officer Derek Hackett. An unknown number of shots were fired in the Northland Trailer Court Tuesday afternoon. Officers had blocked traffic from entering or leaving the park.

FARGO – A male was taken to a local hospital early Saturday morning, Nov. 12, after a report of a possible stabbing, Fargo Police Sgt. Kevin Pallas said Saturday. The male was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Pallas said. Pallas said an investigation is ongoing, but there is no threat to the public in the case. The names of the victim and a female who was detained were not released.
WILKIN COUNTY, Minn. – The State Patrol is investigating the crash of a semi truck that resulted in the driver being injured while he was traveling eastbound on Interstate 94 about milepost 35 on Sunday. The crash was reported about 5:04 a.m., the patrol reported. Michael D. Petersen, 58, of Colfax, Wis., suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash involving a 2014 Freightliner, the patrol reported. Forum News Service
BISMARCK – Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem warns North Dakota residents that the “jury duty” scam is once again circulating in North Dakota. In this scam, the scam artist calls pretending to be a law enforcement officer, claims that the resident has missed jury duty, and threatens to have the person arrested unless they pay a fine immediately.

REGENT, N.D. – A Mott-Regent school bus driver was injured following a crash Monday, Oct. 31, involving a school bus with four children on board and an SUV near Regent. Sheila Gruba, 50, of Mott, was injured in the crash after failing yield at at intersection about 7:15 a.m. Monday, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.
GRAND FORKS — Doug Burgum has built much of his campaign for North Dakota governor around his business acumen. The Republican candidate often references his time building Great Plains Software, a company that eventually was sold to Microsoft in 2001 for $1.1 billion. He’s also been part of other software, agricultural and real estate companies. But to what extent Burgum does or does not remain involved with those businesses if he’s elected governor on Nov. 8 is unclear.
DICKINSON, N.D. – A 21-year-old Dickinson man was arrested after firing shots into a car and later threatening multiple people and shooting inside an apartment building early Sunday morning.
