PRESHO, S.D. — A Vivian, S.D., woman has been identified as the victim in a one-vehicle fatal crash that occurred Thursday afternoon 14 miles northwest of Presho. Reah Sullivan, 33, was the driver and only occupant in the vehicle. The crash occurred when a 2004 GMC Yukon was northbound on 299th Avenue, which is a gravel road. Sullivan lost control, the vehicle eventually entered the east ditch and rolled several times. Sullivan was pronounced dead at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt.
WILLISTON, N.D.—Williston police are asking for help in finding a 48-year-old woman missing from the Williston area since last November. Brenda Murdock, who also goes by Brenda Rodriguez or Brenda Romero, was possibly sighted in Rapid City, S.D., late last month—Feb. 24—hitchhiking back to North Dakota, said police. GRAND FORKS -- Police arrested a man early Sunday after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a house in south Grand Forks. At 3:37 a.m., officers responded to a crash at 615 9th Ave. S. Upon arriving, police learned a 2004 Ford Explorer had been traveling north in the 900 block of the alley between Cherry and Cottonwood streets before it left the alleyway, crashed through a fence and "made entry into the house," where the power was knocked out, police said. No one inside the home was injured.
FARGO -- A Fargo man was arrested after police say he broke into car wash and church early Sunday morning and burned pages from a Bible to stay warm. Chance Zahn, 21, faces two counts of burglary and one count of arson after the incidents. Fargo Police Sgt. Mike Bernier said police were called to Don's Car Wash at 2500 52nd Ave. S. around 4:20 a.m. for an alarm. When they got to the business, they found a window had been broken and, after investigation inside, police found a pile of wet clothing and evidence that led them to the roof of the building.
WILLMAR, Minn. -- A homeowner and his dog escaped a burning house Saturday night in Willmar after a passerby notified the resident that the house was on fire. According to Willmar Fire Chief Frank Hanson, the fire was reported at 8:47 p.m. in the 300 block of 13th Street Southeast. The fire was located on the northwest corner of the exterior of the house and caused extensive damage to the home, according to Hanson. The homeowner and his dog got out safely and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
