The Jamesteown Rural Fire Department responded Friday to a barn fire in southern Stutsman County west of Millarton. The barn was totally destroyed. Some small hogs and ducks may have perished in the fire. A tractor and collectables were also destroyed.

Kindergarten students from Washington Elementary School joined others at Louis L’Amour Elementary School on Monday and did various activities relating to the 1950s on the 50th day of classes.
