Some motorists took to the ditch to travel on Tuesday at the scene of a road hazard on U.S. Highway 281/52 just north of Jamestown. A downed powerline caused traffic to divert or come to a halt momentarily. The incident remains under investigation. The North Dakota State Highway Patrol along with Otter Tail Power Co. were on the scene to guide motorists and move the cable out of harm's way.
