Rodney J. Zimmerman, Colonel, United States Air Force, retired, was born 20 February 1932 in Gackle, ND to Albert and Frances Zimmerman; survived by his wife of 57 years, Joyce L. Zimmerman. He was a pharmacist at White Drug, Jamestown, in 1953. Rodney entered military service in March 1954 in Montgomery, AL after graduating from the North Dakota State University, Fargo, N.D. After Officer basic training he was initially stationed in England at RAF Molesworth, where he married Joyce Larson, of Jamestown, ND.

Irene Lee, 84, Jamestown, ND, died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Eventide at Hi-Acres in Jamestown. Irene Stroh was born May 14, 1924 in Jamestown, the daughter of Fred Stroh and Pauline Nitschke Stroh. She attended school in Jamestown and Pingree, and graduated from Pingree High School. Following graduation Irene worked at the Jamestown Hospital and the State Hospital until she moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where she worked at the Wards Store in St. Paul. When Irene moved back to Jamestown, she started work at the Fair Store and worked there for many years.
Brandon Tarbell, 23, Bismarck, died Sunday, August 7, 2011, at a local Bismarck Hospital. Services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, August 15, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Parkway, Bismarck. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving guests from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Monday at Parkway Funeral Service. Brandon James Tarbell was born November 25, 1987, in Minot, ND, to David and Delores (Landeis) Tarbell. The family lived in Jamestown, ND, where Brandon attended Gussner Elementary school until 2000, when they moved to Bismarck.
