OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Franklin Mieuli, whose deerstalker cap, substantial beard and casual style made him one of the NBA's most colorful figures in his 24 years as owner of the Golden State Warriors, died Sunday. He was 89. Mieuli died of natural causes in a San Francisco Bay Area hospital, the Warriors said in a statement. Mieuli was the principal owner of the Warriors from the time they moved to the Bay Area in 1962 until he sold them in 1986. He won an NBA title with the team in 1975, still the club's only championship in nearly a half-century in California.
Cecilia M. Bonemeyer, 88, Fargo, N.D., formerly of Gackle, N.D., died Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Elim Care Center, Fargo. Cecilia Bonemeyer was born May 25, 1921, at Fargo, the daughter of Henry and Irene (Haut) Bonemeyer. She grew up and attended Gackle Public School, Gackle, where she received her elementary education. She attended St. John's Academy, Jamestown, and graduated in 1938. She attended St. Catherine's College, St. Paul, Minn., where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1942.
Anna L. Mueller, 83, Bismarck, N.D., formerly of Napoleon, N.D., died Monday, April 26, 2010, at St. Vincent's Care Center, Bismarck. Annie Marquart was born June 27, 1926, at Napoleon, the daughter of Joseph and Barbara (Weigel) Marquart. She grew up and attended school in the Napoleon area until the age of 16. Later she received her General Educational Development degree. She married Alvin Mueller on Feb. 5, 1945, at Napoleon. They lived in Hazelton, N.D., until 1955 when they moved to Lodi, Calif. She worked many years in care centers in Lodi. They moved back to Napoleon a few years ago.
Marjorie "Margie" Golin, 80, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, formerly of Fredonia, N.D., died April 17, 2010, at her home. Marjorie Krueger was born March 24, 1930, at Fredonia, the daughter of Arthur and Mollie (Kosanke) Krueger. She attended school at North Dakota School for the Deaf, Devils Lake, N.D. She moved to Chicago. She married Sam Golin. He died in 1980.

Esther Groettum, 89, Jamestown, died Sunday, April 25, 2010, at Jamestown Hospital, Jamestown. Esther Essig was born July 23, 1920, two miles south of Medina, N.D., the daughter of Christian G. and Nettie (Schneider) Essig. She grew up and received her education in Medina. She married Leonard Groettum on Aug. 14, 1942, in Jamestown. They farmed in Medina and later in Eldridge, N.D. In 1953, they moved to Jamestown where she worked at Hi-Acres Manor. He died in 1985. She moved into the Gardenette Apartments.
Dennis Clay Woodall, 58, Bonham, Texas, died April 15, 2010, at Presbyterian Medical Center, Plano, Texas. Mr. Woodall was born Aug. 15, 1951, in Somerset, Ky., the son of Clinton and Irma (Phelps) Woodall. He married Pamela Kay Waltz on Sept. 12, 1982, in Wichita Falls. He was employed as a senior technical instructor with Ericsson Telecommunication and served in the U.S.
